Radiotherapy Centers of Kentuckiana - Louisville Don’t Go Overboard With That Summer Glow
LOUISVILLE, KY (July 01, 2011) – Independence Day festivities are looming high. Between all of the grilling, fireworks, poolside hang-outs and other summer fun, Radiotherapy Centers of Kentuckiana (RCK) wants to remind summer lovers of the importance of effective skin protection during this season.
Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States.[1] Kentucky has an average skin cancer incidence rate of 22 to 28 people per 100,000 – among some of the highest rates in the country – while Indiana has fewer occurrences, between 16 and 19 diagnoses for every 100,000 people.[2] Risk factors for skin cancer include family history of skin cancer, lighter skin color, as well as a history of burning or tanning and other factors.

Radiotherapy Centers of Kentuckiana - Louisville Second Annual Scheller's Jude Clark Circuit Race, Presented by RC Cancer Centers of Kentuckiana
LOUISVILLE, KY (June 8, 2011) – In honor of Jude Clark, a former Scheller’s Racing Team member who died unexpectedly of cancer complications, RC Cancer Centers of Kentuckiana (RCK) and Schellers Fitness and Cycling present the Second Annual Sheller’s Jude Clark Circuit Race. Due to inclement weather, the race originally scheduled for April 23, will now be held Saturday, June 18. Racing commences at 9 a.m., ending at 4 p.m. (more info)

Vantage Oncology, Physicians Oncology Services, Oak Hill Captial Partners Physician Oncology Services and Vantage Oncology Combine to Form Premier National Network of Outpatient Radiation Oncology Centers
Manhattan Beach, CA, and Atlanta, GA February 1, 2011 – Physician Oncology Services, LP (“POSI”), and Vantage Oncology (“Vantage”), today announced that they will merge to create one of the nation’s preeminent networks of outpatient radiation oncology centers of excellence. The combined company will be named Vantage Oncology, and is backed by the financial commitment of Oak Hill Capital Partners (“Oak Hill Capital”), a private equity firm and longstanding investor in the healthcare sector. POSI has been a portfolio company of Oak Hill Capital since January 2007. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. (more info)
